My name is Takanari Nishi. My wife Akie has experienced Japanese Tea Cerenony in Japan, London and Frankfurt. She will lead a tea ceremony in this Meetup.

Join us at the Japanese Culture Club Frankfurt as we delve into the world of tea and explore the rich traditions of the Japanese tea ceremony. In this Meetup, you will have the opportunity to witness both traditional and contemporary techniques of preparing and serving tea.

The tea ceremony is an art form that goes back more than 1,000 years. It is not about drinking the tea, but rather, it is a ritual with precise and graceful movements in a careful sequence. To become a tea ceremony master takes at least 10 years of study and practice.

The essence of Tea Ceremony is Harmony (和) Respect (敬) Purity (清)Tranquility(寂).
