What we’re about
We are a casual group of folks and aspiring artists looking to relax, do a little art, chat with other people, and maybe have a beverage or two. We usually hang out on the weekends once every two weeks at coffee shops, bars and bookstores in downtown Knoxville or out west. Some of us have been doing art for some time, while others are just looking to test the waters of the art world. Everyone is welcome regardless of your skill level.
What to Bring:
Some paper and a pencil are really the only basics you need. If you don't have any, I'm sure one of us can provide something for you. ;) You can also bring whatever you want; portable tablets, paints/canvas, inks, pastels, etc.. whatever you feel comfortable using.
New rules for guests for small venues! If you have a friend or guest you wish to bring, please have them sign up on Meetup as a regular member - just like our group, it's free! Some of the venues we participate in have very limited seating, but for larger venues a guest or two will be allowed. This rule has been put in place so more seats will be available for actual members, and we have to deal with less people signing up guests that don't show up and don't mention or remove themselves from the attendee list.
Our Purpose:
To have a good time! To grow as an artist and an individual, and perhaps meet a few like minded people along the way.
