What we’re about

Join us to connect and socialize by dancing Argentine Tango in the beautiful cities of Leiden and Oegstgeest. We are two ex-pats from Italy and Turkey who started dancing the Argentine Tango to meet new friends during our PhD and jobs abroad. Tango helped us grow an enormous international network, dance in many different countries, meet new friends, and adopt a joyful lifestyle of healthy and fulfilling habits which leads to a stress-free life.

Currently, we give weekly lessons in the Leiden area and host a monthly milonga called Casa de la Pantera in the art-deco Cultuurhuis de Paulus Oegstgeest. We also have a yearly international Tango festival on the last weekend of July.

Let´s connect and grow our international community further together!

More about Tango:
Dances like the Argentine Tango were created to make people meet, socialize, and connect. It was thanks to the migrants who needed to meet new people that Tango was born in Buenos Aires.

Today people in most countries come to Tango to share a nice evening with their partners, friends, or even to make new friends and sometimes to find a life partner.
Social dancing is not what you see in shows. Tango happens in places where the music allows conversation and you can sit at a table with friends and have some drinks.
Tango helps you:
• Improve your body coordination and posture. Tango is made to dance socially, you don’t need to be a performer to enjoy a night out dancing.
• Meet new people in classes and dancing nights, even if you come completely alone. No more nights out with colleagues you don’t like.
• Find someone you are looking for, with whom you already share some interest. Enough with the loud clubs that don’t let you build a connection with anybody.
• Gain confidence in approaching people, even if they are shy or introverted. In tango, you don’t need clever lines to break the ice. Just invite someone to dance!
