The MPS Recovery Meeting will meet from 6pm to 7:30pm on Wednesday, November 20th.

The Madison Psychedelic Society (MPS) Recovery Meeting is a trauma-informed peer support group, creating a compassionate and safe space for individuals recovering from addiction, trauma, and mental or behavioral health challenges. This meeting focuses on those who incorporate psychedelics into their recovery journey for therapeutic use. Our community welcomes individuals currently receiving formal treatment through clinics who may be supplementing their care with psychedelics, as well as those who are self-medicating without traditional treatment.

This meeting is strictly for peer support; it is not a substitute for medical advice, therapy, or professional treatment. Together, we explore the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, share experiences, and support each other in a non-judgmental, confidential environment while honoring that each person’s recovery journey is truly unique. While some may choose to self-medicate as part of their process, we encourage participants to consider seeking professional counseling or treatment to complement their journey whenever possible.

Community-Centered Belonging: Our recovery meeting is founded on the belief that every individual is worthy of love and a sense of belonging. We recognize that being part of a supportive community is not just beneficial but essential to the recovery journey.

Trauma-Informed Peer Support: Recognizing the profound impact of trauma, our meeting is designed to be a supportive and empathetic environment that respects each individual’s lived experiences. We foster a space where members can safely express themselves, focusing on understanding, empowerment, and avoiding retraumatization.

Integration Focus: Integration involves processing, understanding, and incorporating psychedelic experiences into one's recovery journey. The meeting emphasizes using psychedelics for therapeutic purposes, turning these experiences into meaningful, positive changes.

We aim to create an inclusive and confidential space where everyone’s age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, cultural background, neurodivergence, and abilities are welcome!

From veteran psychonauts to psychedelic noobs, we welcome you to share your experiences and actively listen to others to foster growth and fully benefit from our journeys in a supportive and communal space.

WHAT: Madison Psychedelic Society member Neal is hosting this communal potluck get-together at his home. All members are welcome along with their families/kids, partners, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone else who might be interested in discovering what MPS is all about! Come meet with a great local Madison-area community and network with knowledgeable and tapped-in individuals. Come as you are! Everyone is welcome here for socializing, fellowship, communion & togetherness. Don’t worry about being “late” and come and go as you please!

LOCATION: 119 Faircrest Court, Verona, 53593
There is a roundabout off of Meadowside Drive. From there, look for an ‘alley’ or ‘cul-de-sac’ that has two parallel four-unit townhouse complexes. Neal's unit is the last one on the left. Look for 119 on the brick next to the garage. The light will be on and have a balloon attached. Come around the right side, the door is by a pine tree. There is plenty of free street parking on: Faircrest Ct., Meadowside Dr., Bruce St., Locust Dr., Prairie Heights Dr.

"We begin with a brief 5-minute guided meditation to help you settle into the space and connect with your breath. From there, you'll lie down and immerse yourself in the soothing tones of crystal sound bowls and Tibetan bells, creating a deeply restorative auditory experience.

The session concludes with a gentle chime and a warm "Welcome Back," followed by grounding words to help you ease into the rest of your day feeling refreshed and centered. This practice is perfect for anyone looking to relieve stress, improve focus, and cultivate emotional clarity."

Please bring a yoga mat, bolster, and blanket, along with an open heart and mind.
