What we’re about
St. Johns & Eastern Putnam Counties are special places for birds. Help us celebrate and protect it!
We encourage you to consider joining the SJRA. You can join for as little as $15/year, which helps us continue and expand our work. To join the SJRA, follow this link: https://stjohnsaudubon.com/membership/
• We generally host a number of bird walks and field trips throughout our season for our members and the general public. Most events do not require a pre-registration and are free.
• Beginning birders are particularly welcome at our events! The advanced birders who lead these events enjoy helping others learn about the habitats, songs, and lives of birds and how we can protect their habitats.
• We also engage in waterways cleanups on a regular basis, which is a wonderful way to be on the water and see birds (as well as help clean our waterways of debris).
• We support two Christmas Bird Counts, EagleWatch, and the Florida Shorebird Alliance to protect nesting shorebirds.
