What we’re about
We are a group of Scuba Diving enthusiasts based in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
This group is all about connecting divers and building a community of people who want to dive together and share stories of their dive adventures, whether you’re completely new to diving or have been diving for many years.
At our socials, you can expect to meet new people, organise a dive for the weekend, get some gear advice, hear about some fantastic dive destinations, and there may even be some guest speakers. We’ll also be organising some group dives, including clean-up dives, conservation dives, exploratory dives, and more.

We are pleased to announce the first of our dive events. To kick off the season and make sure your equipment is in good working order, we're hosting a dive meetup and BBQ at Rye Pier! Come along with your buddy, or buddy up on the day.
We'll meet at the benches to the right of Rye Pier at 10am to buddy up and go diving! Registration cutoff will be at 10:30am, so please arrive in good time to ensure you can find a buddy.
The barbeque will take place between 12:30-14:30. Snags will be provided inc. vegetarian sausages, as well as a selection of soft drinks. If you have any other special dietary requirements, we ask that you provide for yourselves, as this is a free event.
Feel free to stick around afterward for another dive; I'm sure there'll be others that are keen too.
An opportunity to receive further information about the trip, and to ask questions, will be provided during our social event on Thursday 21st November.
----------
Please note that this is not a guided dive, and there is no instruction, guidance, or equipment provided as part of this event. Melbourne Scuba Divers is facilitating a meetup only. It is your responsibility to ensure you are appropriately trained and equipped to undertake any diving activities that you wish to coincide with this event, including checking that any person you dive with is also appropriately trained and equipped.
