Meet other local people who enjoy playing Magic: the Gathering in the DC metro area (DC, Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia).
Q: Do you have a Discord?
A: Of course we do. It includes copious chat rooms for whatever you want to play. Go here to join: https://discord.gg/dnHrwP7acF. I don't get in there too often, so if you need something, your best bet is always to message me here.
Q: Who should join us?
A: Anyone who lives or plays in the area and wants to get into the original collectible card game, more specifically- you! We play both casual and competitive events and have everything from new players to twenty year veterans. We also like to combine events with social gatherings, so on occasion we have stuff like BBQs, MTG and beer, MTG and movie night.
Q: What are the benefits of joining us?
A: In addition to meeting other Magic players in the area, you can find others to trade with, people to bounce ideas off of, people to carpool with to tournaments.. word on the street is that all the cool kids in DC are in our group.
Q: Where do you usually play?
A: We play in a few local stores as well as at player's homes. Wherever you go in DC you are bound to run into some players from the meetup.

Come join and casually draft a vintage cube that is open to everyone. No cost to enter and depending on participation the store provides promo booster packs and I usually throw in a pack of the most recent standard set to award to the people with the best records at the end of the night. What is Cube?
What: Vintage Cube Draft
When: 6:00pm
Where: Your Hobby Place in Old Town Alexandria (Your Hobby Place, 700 N Washington St, Alexandria, VA 22314)We aim to start drafting shortly after 6:00pm as the store closes at 9:00pm. If the store owner is present though he is kind enough to keep it open for us to finish rounds. In previous events we've usually wrapped up around 9:45. All skill levels are welcome and all cards, lands, tokens needed are provided so you only need to bring yourself and potentially some dice and playmat if you prefer.
