The ancient sport of dragon boat racing is the fastest growing water sport in the world. It is a team sport in its purest form, and encompasses the elements of power, speed, synchronization and endurance. Twenty paddlers, one steers, and one drummer work in total harmony. We have two 20-person boats and one 10 person boat and we are based in Homosassa and train on the beautiful Homosassa River.
Advanced level coaching and equipment is available to all new paddlers.
All padlers will be coached on the proper paddling techniques including basic paddling commands, (Paddles Up, Go, Slow the boat, Hold the boat, Back the baot, Brace the boat, Let it ride). All paddlers must be proficient in comands to create a funa while safe environment.
All fitness levels are welcome; it's our goal to train you to succeed. We encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical activity.
Let this be a regular part of your workout routine and train to become a dragon boater.
