What we’re about
Welcome to New Beginnings.
New Beginnings is a friendly group of people who share a passion for socialising and having fun. Founded over 8 years ago, our group has grown into a vibrant community where like-minded individuals come together.
Our purpose is simple: to provide a safe and welcoming environment where you can meet new friends, participate in fun activities, and create lasting memories. Whether you're looking to explore the great outdoors, enjoy a night at the theatre, dance to live bands, challenge your mind with quizzes, savor meals out, or go on exciting days and weekends away, for example, New Beginnings has something for everyone.
Anyone is welcome to join our group! While we encourage participation from those who are local to the area, to get the most out of our events, the only real requirement is that you are kind, courteous, and ready to have fun.
With New Beginnings, you'll find opportunities to socialise mosts days of the year. From regular meet-ups to special events, there's always something happening during the week.
Ready to embark on a new adventure with New Beginnings? Join us today and become part of our dynamic and friendly community.
We ask for a small ‘one-off’ fee of £3 to join the group, we also request that you treat others as you would like to be treated. Please be respectful to hosts and their voluntary time by changing rsvp if you can not attend events to allow others to attend.
We have a small team of hosts who arrange and manage all the events. As you can imagine this would not be a successful group without those individuals putting in some time and effort to arrange all the varied events. If there’s something you would like to do that is not listed feel free to discuss it and we would be happy for you to join the hosting team.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing in the joy of new experiences
Please note this is not a dating site.
Over 18s only. Members are responsible for their own safety at all events.
Paid events
If an advance payment is required through NHBT or organiser/host account, payment remains non refundable as the payment would have been paid to secure the event.
Unless someone else moves into the vacant waitlist spot and pays then it is obvious that a refund is not applicable.
However, if an event is cancelled by the organiser, host or third party then a full refund will be paid if reimbursed in full by the organising company
Please note if you are disrespectful to another member you will be removed from group.
New Beginnings would love you to join us for our annual end of year celebration.
We hosted a fabulously well supported party last year and would love to be able to see as many of you (if not more!) this year. I have secured the room & DJ but have decided to have a buffet brought by the guests this year.
On your RSVP if you could let me know by private message what buffet food you intend to bring & for how many people & I can compile a list. Please note we will not have access to a kitchen.
Remember its club price drinks too!
Looking forward to meeting new and old members to celebrate in style. If it’s your first time and are feeling nervous, one of us will be happy to meet you on arrival.

See all- Centurion Way (Chichester to West Dean) Linier Walk, lunch in pub, Bus Return.Meet in Westgate, at the turning area outside the back gate of Bishop Luffa school, Chichester
Join me for this linier walk along the Centurion Way, (Lunch at the Selsey Arms) with bus return to Chichester.
The Centurion Way is a 9K (5.5 mile) path that runs between Chichester, Lavant and West Dean following the old dismantled Chichester to Midhurst railway line, which closed in 1991.
The route is mostly flat or slightly hilly. The southern section is tarmacked to the north of Lavant. Lavant to West Dean is compacted stone.
There are refreshments available in West Dean, with a possible comfort stop at Lavant
Download the Centurion Way leaflet, which contains a route map and historical facts on the disused railway and development of the route.
The leaflet has further information about the various points of interest you can visit along the way. MAPThe 60 bus runs every 20 minutes between the finish and Chichester
Please ensure that you chose parking at a carpark where you are able to leave your vehicle for the allotted time
We will meet to begin the walk in Westgate, at the turning area outside the back gate of Bishop Luffa school, however the bus will return to Chichester Railway Station so we will then need to walk to wherever we have parked
As usual with NBHT no event fee unless you haven’t paid your one off joining fee of £3.
Please be courteous to the host and amend your RSVP if you cannot attend.
