For whatever reason, Meetup is the designated place for local real estate investors to form groups. This is often mentioned as such by bigger pockets and others.
Just my own idea for one is that I view our group as a place Non promotional and free for anyone to attend our monthly meetings. While networking is good, we wish to distinguish ourselves from and make clear that we are Not a seminar of sort selling courses or such trying to round people up. A place where very experienced and successful investors may offer their time as a way of giving back. And a place where new investors may learn and bring questions and choose mentors. I know I always learn a few things from those with 50+ doors. And I am passionate and proud of seeing so many members who were new three years ago who now have many of their own properties. A place where we all may support each other in the community. I am open to all members input in forming a more concrete mission statement. Open to alternative views from all members willing to input.
