NEED A KAYAK: Mooball Crk, Pottsville

MOOBALL CRK, (round trip approximately 11 klm)

Meet at the park (200 meets past Pottsville boat ramp) at 8. 00am (NSW time) to complete paperwork and have gear and kayaks issued.

We will paddle with the incoming tide to explore this Mooball Crk a remarkable little waterway, that begins in the heart of Pottsville with its modern estates but quickly gives way to Mangrove and Sheoak forests and an array of seabirds.

We will paddle the 5 Klm to the remains of the old Warwick Park Rd bridge. Destroyed in the 50's, it now resembling so many standing stones protruding from the creek. Here we will pull over for a short break and morning tea, so be sure to bring something to eat and drink. After exploring the area, we will head back with the tide for lunch in Pottsville.

This is an ideal paddle for beginners or people just starting out with kayaking, as the waterway is calm and sheltered from the sea breezes.
