*Rescheduled due to poor weather, too cold and wet atm in June.
Hope you can still make it in September π
Let's meet at Harbison Picnic Area at the top of Mount Macedon for a 3 hour walk beginner to moderate.
Here you can find parking, public toilets and cafes.
The route follows the Macedon Ranges Walking Trail heading north before reaching McGregors Picnic Area. The picnic area is a great place to take a rest and enjoy the Cedar and Douglas Fir that surround the open grassy area. After the picnic area, there is a steep ascent to the region's highest peak, Camels Hump.
Here you will be met with stunning panoramic views of the Macedon Ranges and the surrounding area.
The path can be rocky underfoot and slippery after rain so be sure to wear proper walking shoes. This is a great trail with gorgeous views, beautiful wildlife and interesting flora.
