What we’re about
The Ocala National Forest Alliance is dedicated to assisting the United States Forest Service in educating the public, maintaining, protecting and restoring the natural and cultural resources, scenic beauty and health of our forest lands for the enjoyment and responsible use of present and future generations of people and wildlife.
We are a solution-oriented volunteer group that works in partnership with the Forest Service to assist the agency with tasks and materials that it does not have the manpower or the funds to accomplish on its own.
The Ocala National Forest Alliance was created by dedicated Forest Service employees who witness, first hand, the damaging impacts of unmanaged recreation, uneducated visitors, and a recreational industry that is disconnected from the damage that is being dealt to roadways, wetlands and the many sensitive ecosystems of this precious resource.
We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas: Field Patrol Rangers, OHV Trail Rangers, Wilderness Trail Rangers, Equestrian Trail Rangers, Mountain Bike Trail Rangers, Manatee Protection Docent, Fire Tower Restoration / Lookouts, and Ocala Forest Clean-up.
