Green Walk - Hornchurch to Corbets Tey + (optional) New Pub

Details

A walk around Hornchurch Country Park, and a new green route to Corbets Tey's Huntsman & Hounds pub. A 370 bus will get people back to Hornchurch; or to Upminster Station; or straight through to Romford. Please note that the end-time includes pub-time, the walk will normally finish around mid-afternoon.

We're meeting at the Railway Hotel pub at 11am (just by Hornchurch District Line Station) for a coffee. You are able to park in the side road the pub sits on the corner of, as the yellow lines only apply Mon to Fri.

We'll stop for a nice coffee break en route too.

Those coming from Romford can get a 193 or 252 bus to Hornchurch Station. From Harold Wood Station, or Harold Hill area, its a 296 bus.

Those coming from Barkingside area can get the 247 to the Wetherspoon in Collier Row, cross the road to the start of the 252 route, which will take you to straight to Hornchurch Station. Either that or a 169 bus to Barking Station and a few stops on the District Line.

Some may prefer a Central Line hop to Mile End, and District Line from there. It is also worth noting that Barking is on the London Overground network.

For those who haven't paid in advance, I ask for a nominal contribution of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees. No shrapnel please.
