What we’re about
This meetup group is for art lovers and artists at all levels who love plein air painting in and around Palm Beach County and the surrounding South Florida vicinity. The group was organized by Ralph Papa & Donna Walsh in 2010 to bring artists together to paint the land, sea and city scapes in beautiful south Florida. We welcome resident artists and visiting artists at all levels to come out with us to paint and document today's landscapes that contribute to tomorrow's history.
If you have never painted outside, it can be a bit intimidating. But it is an enormous amount of fun when you go with a compatible group, and the Palm Beach Plein Air Artists are so much fun. Once people paint with us, they can’t wait to come back. We plan going to many places in Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties and have a lot of fun.

Contributing Artist Members of PAPB have been invited to participate in a Paint out at the House of Refuge for the INAUGURAL COASTAL COLORS PAINT OUT AT THE HOUSE OF REFUGE and EXHIBIT at ELLIOTT MUSEUM
Limited to 30 artists per county per day – Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.PAPB date for paint out is Sunday January 12, 2025. Parking will be at Elliott Museum with continuous shuttle to House of Refuge which has VERY limited parking. Bathrooms and water stations available at House of Refuge. Rain date January 18
Transportation:- Complimentary Shuttle Service from the Elliott Museum (parking available)
- Shuttle Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Reserve your shuttle spot by calling the House of Refuge at 772-225-1875.
Please call in advance to reserve your morning shuttle spot**. Only 8 artists per shuttle run will be accommodated. An additional truck will be available to assist with transporting materials.**

Registration Details:- Registration Period: November 1, 2024 – January 1, 2025
- Fee: $25 (non-refundable) – Includes Paint Out participation and juried exhibit opportunity
- Optional Panera Lunch: $15 per day (optional add-on)

Digital image of the unframed artwork
Title, size, description, medium, and sales price
Artwork Drop-off Dates: February 5, 6, or 7, 2025
Exhibit Hanging: February 9 and 10, 2025
