What we’re about
Do you like to cook and socialize with new friends? This dinner club is about enjoying home-cooked food at the homes of the club members. Sign up to bring a dish that meets the host's theme for dinner. Choose a theme and host a dinner at your home.
Dinner club for the 45+ crowd
- You must be willing to host dinner once per year in your home.
- The host gets to choose a theme and provides the main course.
How this works
The host decides on a theme and sets the date and number of dinner guests. Jenny will work with you to set up the event and members can sign up.
Theme ideas can be seasonal, by ethnicity, ingredient, colour, season.etc. Be creative!
- When you sign up, the group expects to show up since you have committed to bring part of the meal. Please no last minute cancellations. You will be removed from the group if you RSVP and don't show up twice.
- Beverages. Please bring beverages to share. Non-alcoholic, wine and beer are encouraged.
Group rules
- Please no solicitations for catering or charging for meals.
- You live in the City of San Mateo or Campbell and everything on the Peninsula in between, including San Jose.
- Open to all. Singles and couples are welcome if you want to cook, eat and laugh.\
- No crazy folks. If you think this disqualifies you, this might not be the group for you. If you paused and tried to understand what this means, then this group is not for you. We are invited each other into our homes.
We like to have fun and are a couple in our 50’s who love to cook and entertain.
Cheers, Jenny and Chris
