What we’re about
Are you interested in robotics and artificial intelligence, wanting to work in the field or are currently working in robotics and artificial intelligence in Western Australia, then this the group for you! We aim to hold regular meetups with guest speakers and anyone is welcome to join. Some help with organising the meetups would also be appreciated!

See all- Humaniod Robots: How They Work And Are They The Right Tool?EACON Mining Technologies Office, Perth
Lets bring the robotics community of Perth together to chat about engineering and Robotics Operating System.
EACON Mining Technology has kindly offered to host us at their office in West Perth.
To kick things off we will hear a talk from John Vial
"Humanoid Robots: How They Work And Are They The Right Tool?" recently presented talk to the Winery Engineering Association."Roboticist Dr John Vial, and Robotics Australia Group Director will review this developing area of robotics that has garnered so much publicity in the last year, following announcements of prototype humanoid robots and related software or major trials by Tesla, Figure AI, OpenAI, Nvidia, Agility, Amazon, and many others. How do they work and do they deserve the attention they are getting? Could humanoids be useful in wineries, where many tasks are still very manual, or would other robotic forms be more suitable? John has a PhD in robotics, is a Director of the Robotics Australia Group and has experience working in AI and autonomy in mining and other sectors, giving him a unique perspective on the topic."
I think there might even be beer too!
