We have been meeting for several years to walk parts of the Camino de Santiago on the third Saturday of each month. Many of us come regularly, and we are currently walking towards Rome. Each hike starts where the last one ended. Our main goal is to enjoy the hike — it is easy and mostly on paved paths with gentle slopes. We usually walk about 20 km, sometimes more. If you can’t walk that far, there are usually ways to leave the hike early.
This hike will be easy and fun, showing beautiful nature as well as some less exciting parts. Remember, the journey is the destination!
You are welcome to join for just part of the hike or the whole route. You can collect stamps along the way, and who knows — maybe one day you will reach Rome, Santiago de Compostela, or even Jerusalem.About via Francisca
The Via Francisca is an incredible and almost unknown pilgrimage route that takes us on an amazing journey from Konstanz at Lake Constance through Eastern Switzerland all the way to Rome! Spanning approximately 349 km, this path offers more than 90 hours of exciting hiking, where culture meets nature in the most beautiful ways. Along the way, we will discover breathtaking highlights such as the Minster in Konstanz, the stunning St. Gallen Library and Cathedral, the magnificent Rhine Gorge, the charming town of Chur, the high Lukmanier Pass at 1,915 meters, and many historic churches.
Let’s get inspired by the beauty of nature and the wonderful spiritual atmosphere! Join us on this unforgettable adventure! Read more at:
