What we’re about
Welcome! This is a ladies-only social group for the 30s and 40s crowd. We have dinners, brunch, book club, wine nights, movies, theater, hikes, weekend trips, etc. Volunteer organizers are always welcome. More events keep the group active and it gives you a chance to work events around your own schedule. If you think it would be fun, chances are that someone else will too!
Speaking of fun, you can't have fun if you don't show up. To keep some order and help our wonderful organizers to not lose their minds, this group has a very strict attendance policy. Unless otherwise stated in the event description, there is a 48 hour RSVP policy. Organizers can make his more or less strict for their events.
What does "48 hour policy" mean? Please refrain from:
- Being a no show. If you RSVP yes, we expect to see you there. We'd miss you if you skipped it...and it's just polite.
- Changing your RSVP from Yes to No within 48 hours of the event. We understand that things happen, but please make every effort to give 48 hours notice if you can't make it. Nothing is more annoying than making a reservation for 10 people and then having 8 of them drop out at the last minute (except maybe those dreaded no shows!)
- Hanging out on the waitlist until you get a spot and then cancelling. This is cool as long as you aren't in that 48 hour window; but after that, it counts. Feel free to hang out on the waitlist until the bitter end, but please change from Waitlist to No at the point where you know you wouldn't be able to make it if you got a spot. Going from Waitlist to No is acceptable at any time - even 2 hours before and event. It's going from Waitlist to Yes to No within the 48 hour window that is an issue.
Violators of the attendance policy will be marked as No Shows for the event (because that's the only option in Meetup). Three No Shows is cause for removal from the group.
The group is free to join, though donations toward our costs are always appreciated. Venmo is @Kristy-Arnold-829 (9571 if they ask for the phone number). You can also use the Pledge campaign on the group homepage.
