What we’re about

Welcome to PyData Lausanne!
This group aims to connect any data enthusiast regardless of your level, whether you are a high level professional or just an enthusiast looking to understand the possibilities offered by data science.
We aim to have three types of talks.

  1. Cool stuff someone did with data (machine learning). Share your experience to inspire others.
  2. Technical talk about methodologies or technologies. Inform everyone of a new technique/tool you just discovered
  3. Tutorial on data science tools and share best practices (pydata stack or more niche library) suitable for beginners and professionals. Learn how to use base tools or increase your knowledge of them.

PyData is an educational program, and therefore we encourage everyone who wants to present and gain experience in presenting to come forward.

About PYDATA
PyData brings together both users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The goals are to provide data science enthusiasts across various domains a place to discuss how best to apply languages and tools to the challenges of data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. We are focused around the Python ecosystem, but are also open to other languages and relevant topics that may help to better solve the evolving challenges in data management, processing, analytics, and visualization.
PyData groups, events, and conferences aim to provide a venue for users across all the various domains of data analysis to share their experiences and their techniques. PyData is organized by NumFOCUS.org, a 501(c)3 non-profit in the United States.
