Knuckup Hill was an old ski slope which closed in the early 80's. You can still see remnants of the ski operation including the chair lift tower and the power house. It is part of the Warner Trail which swings by scenic Trout Pond, as it passes over Knuckup Hill and continues across Taunton St. into the 1000 acre Wrentham State Forest which we will also hike into.
There are great views from Knuckup Hill and Pinnacle Hill where you can see the Boston skyline on a clear day. These areas contain a diverse mixture of trees and wildlife.
Sturdy shoes are needed as the trails are rocky and steep in spots.
There may be some wet areas. We will hike at a moderate, steady pace.
Water is mandatory. You should have sturdy shoes. Bug spray, and a snack could be helpful.
