What we’re about
Get out of the house, make new friends and have a few laughs. Whether you like simple party games, hardcore strategy games or even if you've never played a board game in you life! Come join the fun and be a part of the thriving gaming community in and around Ringwood!
Local organisations working together, complimenting each other and engaging the community. We're a very casual group focussed more on social interaction than hardcore competitiveness. The only thing we love more than playing games is teaching them! So even if you're not feeling confident or are a little shy around new people, don't worry, you'll be welcomed with open arms and open game boxes!
"If you look around the room you can see there are heaps and heaps of board games being played. Don't think that this is a group about board games though. This is a group for people to interact with each other and to make new friends, board games are just how we do it." \
Make sure you also check out the action on our Facebook group! \

Note: You may or may not be aware that in June this year Meetup was acquired by another company. Since this acquisition, the price to organise a group like this one has doubled, there is also talk that Meetup will start charging regular members for the privilege of viewing and messaging other members. For these reasons Meetup is no longer a viable option and in JANUARY 2025, Ringwood Social Games will be joining the ever growing number of groups that are walking away from Meetup. Going forward, Ringwood Social Games will now be using the new AFTERGAME APP (https://app.aftergame.co/group?id=e9989643-40a8-4995-a335-ed1084bdb117) which is proving just as good as Meetup and is getting better all the time. You can also join our Facebook group, RINGWOOD SOCIAL GAMES COMMUITY (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ringwoodsocialgames), which is the place to be for conversations and to see photos from our events.
