- Monthly Conscious Living Group NightHoly Trinity Church Church Room , Potten End
If you were to score each of your mind, body, relationships and prosperity out of ten in terms of your quality of life derived from each of those four areas, would you want to improve any or all of those scores, those experiences of life?
If so, this may be for you.
As you may know, I'm the author of Kissing Consciousness, a book about how to be fully true to yourself, and we're starting to create a monthly conscious living group - or rather, more specifically, we're creating a local Kissing Consciousness Group, based on the tools, teachings and principles of the book.
The book itself is actually a handbook for a conscious living movement.
This, second group evening after the first one last month will be held at the bigger Church Room next door to Holy Trinity Church on Church Road in the village of Potten End, near Berkhamsted (see gallery photos below). We'll have a private meeting room, and there will also be free tea and coffee should you wish, as we have use of the kitchen.
The price for the evening is £5.
If and when follow up evenings are scheduled, priority will be given to existing attendees, as the point is to create an ongoing, consistent support group.
What is Conscious Living?
The essence of it is that you make choices for your life that are free from self-judgement and self-constriction - often residual from school, society or family growing up. Everyone has experienced a bit of self-constriction, to one degree or another. This group offers you support, community and facilitation (similar to coaching) for all of that.In addition to the primary activity of removing mental and physiological blocks, we'll also explore what quality of life is possible far above that which conventional society currently realises: Deep, authentic and unselfconscious joy; an ecstatic, liberated body; blissful, harmonious relationships and fulfilled creative potential.
To achieve these we can develop four primary life skills: How you can hold presence to your mind for confidence and emotional clarity, listen to your body for health and vitality, integrate boundaries for harmonious relationships, and focus on how you can best contribute value from your own personal interests and talents in exchange for prosperity.
Kissing Consciousness also provides clarity with regard to spirituality and wisdom, in particular explaining the most important distinction in all of personal development; that between spiritual practice and shadow work. A spiritual life doesn't immunize a person from their emotional and psychological wounds.
The Advantages of Group Facilitation
Kissing Consciousness group facilitation can be a much more cost-effective and longer-lasting alternative to life coaching. You could pay £100 or more for an hour's coaching, and that can help, but that outlay isn't sustainable ongoing for most people, month in, month out.
Please bring a pad and pen. Comfortable clothing is advised. All participants will get a Kinde or eBook version of the Kissing Consciousness handbook prior to the night.
FAQs
What's involved, how does it work?
It's mostly talk-based, with the odd gentle exercise. Will I get to choose what I do and what I don't do?
Yes. Choice is the guiding principle, so anything else would be contradictory. Can I just address one area of life?
Yes. Kissing Consciousness is flexible, and can weave between focussing on different topics and different levels of ability.Times
We start 'properly' at 7:30pm but you're encouraged to arrive any time from 7:00pm to get settled, familiarise yourself with the material a little, which will be available in the room in many forms, and perhaps get refreshments if you wish.Free Parking
At that time of evening that whole quiet road will be free for parking opposite. There's ample parking around.More Info
