Black Point Drive - Merritt Island NWR

Details

Join us for a field trip to Merritt Island NWR
This is mostly a driving tour and tour leaders will have two way radios to share with each car. This is a perfect bird trip for anyone with mobility issues.

Meet for car-pooling, either in Edgewater at 7AM at the Dunkin' parking lot, OR in Titusville at 8AM, at Parrish Park.

Leaders are Don Chalfant and Chip Franke. Questions? Call Don 386-409-7145. Please bring water, bug spray, sun screen, snacks.

This is an easy trip as we drive the Black Point Drive with some easy trail walking. Merritt Island is a good place to see waders, shore birds, song birds and raptors. At noon we usually stop at Visitor Center for picnic lunch. Bring a sandwich or snack and join us. Free and open to the public.
