  • Winnats Pass
  • Mam Tor

Notes:

  • In the Komoot link mentioned above you can find out more about this hike: photos and information about each viewpoint, length, specific route, ascents, descents, etc.
  • Make sure you do some walking in the weeks before this event, otherwise you might feel tired.
  • If you are not an experienced hiker, you can still join this event as it is not very hard.
  • If you think this hike is too long or hard, you are welcome to join and make it shorter. If you look at the route you will see that it is possible to skip the Win Hill ascent at the end of the walk. If necessary, I can explain you better during the day.
  • Please don't come with flat trainers and/or jeans. You need shoes with good grip and comfortable walking trousers.
  • We will walk through paths for most of the day, but we will be also off paths few times.
  • It might be very windy and cold when we are on top of the hills. So you will need to bring some warm clothes with you.
  • We will be walking at dark, but the path we will follow is very easy ad safe. There is nothing to worry about. You could also bring a torch if you want.
  • If the sky is cloudy on the scheduled night (14/12/2024), the walk might be cancelled or postponed or moved to the following night (15/12/2024). The main aim of this walk is to see the full moon.
  • Any important news or updates before the event will be posted in the comments section. Make sure you check them. You can also enable automatic email notifications in your Meetup profile's settings.
  • This hike will be lead by one or more experienced hikers. The main walk leader usually wears blue shoes and red backpack, you should be able to recognise him.
