USMC National Museum Hike

USMC National Museum Hike Information
Where: walkway at the USMC museum in Triangle, VA
When: Sunday, November 17th, 2024
Time: start walk at 10 am
Duration: about 1 hour
Distance: just under 2 miles
Terrain: paved walkway, several small hills
Fees: none, although there is a place to make donations inside the museum but no dogs allowed in the building
Supplies: waste bags, water, etc.
Special notes: dogs must remain on leashes at all times, there is a restroom located on the pathway but no water fountains
Directions: from I- 95 take Exit 150 A east towards Triangle/Quantico. You will be on Joplin Road. When you reach Route 1, turn right (south) and take the next right, which is the entrance to the museum. Go straight until you reach the parking lot and I usually park in the first lot, which is the furthest from the museum and the closest to the beginning of the walkway. I'll be in a dark colored Toyota Highlander.
