Meditation outdoor can be a transformative experience. When we prepare ourselves we may feel discomfort. When we arrive it is sheer joy. We can always relate the meditative experience to our daily experiences and cultivate mindfulness.
As a continuation of our program in the library and on zoom for last over five years, we will continue to meet all seasons every Saturday to meditate in the beautiful setting of the Fairly Lake Park at 9:30 am to 10:30 am, rain or shine, snow or sun, or blizzard - unless extreme.
Some mats, cushions, and chairs will be available. Please dress appropriately for the weather, and feel free to bring a mat, cushion, or folding chair if you like, but not necessary.
Scientific research confirms that practicing mindfulness:
=> helps us in accessing and strengthening our inner resources.
=> equips us to respond to life's challenges with resilience and equanimity
=> supports us to gain clarity
=> empowers us to deal with stress effectively
=> brings compassion, wisdom, and power of choice in our life
The benefits of regular mindfulness practice can permeate into all areas of life - physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual. The aspiration behind this program is to alleviate suffering and causes of suffering for all and to bring joy, peace, and ease to everyone's life.
