Let's go to the Holiday Open House for the Nationality Rooms in the Cathedral of Learning. It's being held early this year. We'll be able to tour several Nationality rooms for free, watch traditional craft demonstrations, listen to Holiday music, and sample traditional treats. The event is free, and we don't have to register. Food and gift items will be available for purchase.

We came in 2nd place twice last year. This year, we are still trying to do at least that good. Let's try again!

Please only sign up if you are serious about being there. We can only have 6 people on our team.

Turn into Bakery Square from Penn Ave, and the restaurant Tako Torta is right in front of you. Turn right and look for a place to park outside - I have talked to security and to the owner of Bakery Square, and both tell me that the spaces are not monitored, at least at night. Ignore the signs that say that you can only park for 1 hour.

We will have a team of 6 players. It is very important that you show up, if you sign up. If not, it is important that you change your RSVP to "not coming". If you are on the waitlist, watch to see if you are moved to coming, if someone cancels.

We will meet at 6 pm, to get a good table and to share a meal. Trivia starts at 7 pm. If you cannot come till closer to 7 pm, let us know, but be there by 7 pm at the latest - your team needs you.

Let's visit the Bayernhof Museum. We'll have a tour of rooms filled with intricate music boxes and antique automatic music machines and hear lots of stories about the founder, Charles Brown. The cost is $10 cash, paid at the end of the tour. There are several sets of stairs through the building.

Afterward, we can head across the river to Eleventh Hour Brewing (3711 Charlotte St. 15201) in Lawrenceville, which is located in Charles Brown's former factory. We can toast him with a beer and enjoy food from a food truck. Since we'll be there early, we may be able to view the restored gas light showroom from his factory.
