The most wonderful time of the year is almost here. It's time to jingle and mingle!

Let's get into the festive spirit. Let's decorate your bike, wear your brightest Christmas outfit, come join us for a fun evening bike ride around the river and then dinner and drinks at the Ship Inn, South Bank.

This will be a great opportunity for us to catch up, reminisce about the past, set goals for the future, share stories, create memories, laugh and have fun together.

All members and their partners are welcome to join us, just add a plus 1 when rsvp.

**Ride Depart at:** 5.30pm from Captain Burke Park, corner of Holman and Main Streets. Aim to arrive and ready by 5.15pm for briefing and group photo.

**Ride Distance**: \~30km.

**Ride Pace**: Leisurely 20-25kph. We will stop for photos and re-group as needed. No one gets left behind.

**Terrain:** Few inclines. A mixture of bike paths, shared paths, back streets and road sections.

**Fitness**: A moderate level of fitness is required to enjoy the ride.

**Requirements**: Riders must be able to maintain a ride pace of 20+kph on flat sections in order for us to finish the ride on time for dinner.

**Duration**: Allow 2 hours riding time including stops, plus dinner.

**Route**: The exact route will be decided on the night depending on numbers.

**Dinner**: is booked for **7.30pm** under my name **Kim** **Wright** (Cycling Group). Non-riding members and partners are welcome to join us at 7.30pm.

**RSVP**: If you would like to join us, please rsvp early and adjust your rsvp asap you can't attend.

**Parking**: Free parking after 5.00 pm along Holman Street, Main Street and surrounding streets at Kangaroo Point. ***Make sure you check the parking signs because not all streets are free after 5.00pm.***

**Bring**:

* a well-maintained bike (decoration is optional).
* identification and emergency contact information.
* fully charged front and rear lights.
* water bottle.
* spare tube, repair kit.
* a bike lock if you wish to lock your bike during dinner.
* money for dinner.

**Wet Weather**: If it rains, we will just meet for dinner. An update will be posted 2 hours before riding time. Please always check in to Meetup prior to coming to the event for any last-minute updates.
