Edinburgh Castle Rock, Empress, Sylvia, Lodore Falls & Lookouts 🌈 🌿🚶‍♂️🏊‍♀️

🗓 DATE: Saturday, 14 December 2024.
⏰ MEETING TIME: 10.25am.
🚊 MEETING POINT: (start & finish) Wentworth Falls station.
🎒 Meet the group at Station Street entry/exit, Coronation Park next to the toilet block.

🥾 DISTANCE: 12km circuit.
🥾 GRADE: mostly Moderate/slightly Hard on a steady pace with uneven rocky paths, lots of steep stair climbs, step ladders, creek crossings that we may have to take our shoes or boots off to get across. Tracks expected to be wet and muddy at few sections.
💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended for this walk.

📸 WHAT TO EXPECT:
🌈 Let’s go chasing waterfalls. This is an enjoyable walk with amazing lookouts and waterfalls. Tracks mostly under the shades.
🚶‍♂️From the station, we head towards Conservation Hut for a quick photo stop.
❗️NOTE:- no get-out points once we hit the bush track at Conservation Hut.
🚶🏼‍♀️We will continue our exciting walk to Edinburgh Castle Rock with awesome view of Valley of The Waters. We will continue to hidden Asmodeus Pool and Isobel Falls for another photo stop and selfies.
🚶🏻We will continue towards the Oh! So beautiful Empress Falls, Sylvia Falls and Lodore Falls (if the track re-opens) for a swim and a lunch break.
🧺 After lunch, we will walk up the stairs towards Empress Lookout and Queen Victoria Lookout and other lookouts.
🤳 After our last photo sessions and selfies at the lookouts, we will head back to Wentworth Falls station after a fun day out.
🥧 Recommend Bakery Patisserie Schwarz, opposite the station for yoummylicious pies and cakes. ☕️ 🍰

🎒WHAT TO BRING:
👕 Comfortable outfit for the weather preferably hiking gear. Jeans or cotton t-shirt may not be suitable in warm weather.
🥾 Waterproof hiking boots highly recommended due to muddy tracks and creek crossings.
💦 At least 2L of WATER, Hydralyte, snacks and PACKED LUNCH, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and hand sanitiser.
⛑ Basic First Aid kit and a raincoat just in case of wet weather.
🏊🏼‍♂️ Cozzies and towel if you wish to swim at the beautiful Empress Falls.
