⏰ MEETING TIME: 10.05am.
🚊 MEETING POINT: Como station, platform 2 at the entry/exit.
🚆 END POINT: Oatley station.

🥾 DISTANCE: 11.5km - point to point.
🥾 GRADE: Easy/mostly MODERATE on a relaxing pace, not snail pace!
💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended for this walk with few stair climbs, ups and downs hills and uneven rocky surfaces. Tracks expected to be wet and muddy in parts.

📸 WHAT TO EXPECT:
🚶‍♂️This is an interesting walk in The Shire aka “the God’s country” crossing Como Bridge, suburban roads, interesting wetlands and bushlands at Lime Kiln Bay Sanctuary, beautiful Oatley Park overlooking Georges River and Jewfish Bay.
🤳 This walk is not for hardcore or fast pace walkers. This is a social leisure walk suitable for nature lovers, bird watchers and amateur photographers.
🚶‍♂️From Como station, we’ll head down to Como Pleasure Grounds public toilets - opposite children’s playground next to Blackfish Cafe, about 15 minutes walk from the station for a quick photo stop and toilet break.
🚶‍♂️The group will gather in front of Thai Rim Nam Restaurant next to the carpark. Refer attached map (photo no.3).
🚶Then we’ll continue our exciting adventure crossing Como Bridge to Oatley Park and Lime Kiln Bay Walking Trail.
🥪 We will have byo lunch break (no cafes) at Oatley Castle, overlooking peaceful picnic and beach area on Jewfish Bay. Yes, you heard it right... it’s a castle! 🏰
🚶‍♂️After lunch, we’ll continue on the sandy beach along Oatley Baths and bushlands back to the start of the trail. We will then head to Oatley station for a return journey home.
🥧 There’s cafes, bakeries and few other specialty shops near the station.
🍺 You may have a drinks or a meal at Oatley Hotel opposite the station.

🎒WHAT TO BRING:
👕 Comfortable outfit, waterproof walking shoes or boots highly recommended due to muddy tracks at few sections.
💦 At least 1.5L of water, Hydralyte, snacks and PACKED LUNCH, hat, sunscreen, hand sanitiser and insect repellent,
⛑️ Basic First Aid kit, cozzies and towel for those who wish to swim during lunch break. 🏊🏻
🧥 A raincoat just in case of wet weather.
