Meet at McLaren Vale Visitors Centre at 8.15ish to carpool to Cape Jervis

Catch 10am ferry to Penneshaw.

Market day ferry fare is $49 or $44 concession/Senior return. Please purchase ticket ASAP.

A few options to do include -

- Heading straight to market and spend some money supporting the local businesses;

- Enjoy the beautiful white sand beach and swim if warm enough;

- Walk up the hill on Ironstone Hill Hike (Baudin Conservation Park) - this is a 4.2km (1.5hrs) return through mostly Sheoak vegetation. This walk follows the start of the original bullock track to Cape Willoughby, highlights are the views across Backstairs Passage, the ruins of Harry Bates cottage. The area is rich in farming heritage with interpretive signs along the way;

- The Kangaroo Island Scuplture Trail - located close to the Penneshaw Jetty this is a 1.5km trail located in the heart of the coastal village;

- lunch at one of the Penneshaw cafes

▪︎ The Pub
▪︎ Fat Beagle Coffee Shop
▪︎ Seadragon Cafe; and

- Finish with a beer or wine at the pub

Return on the 4.30pm ferry.
