**Itinerary**
This is a combined walk-and-drive adventure. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking. Then drive 4.5 km to [Artemis Wines](https://artemiswines.com.au/tasting/) (46 Sir Charles Moses Ln, Mittagong) for a 60-minute wine tasting ($20). **NB: We must book in advance!**

Then we head off to lunch at the Highlands Hotel. After lunch, we head to Hassall and Jefferis Cottages (historical landmark) followed by Retford Park National Trust (historical landmark) and the Wombat Trail. From there it's on to our final destination, Mansfield Reserve.

**Meeting Point:** Mittagong station
If anyone is catching the train I can pick you up at Campbelltown or Mittagong station.

**Lunch:** Highlands Hotel, 75 Main St, Mittagong

**Length**: 38.2 km (mostly driving!)

**Pace:** Easy, casual

**Bring:** Snacks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and 2 litres of water.

Get onto the M8, merge onto the M5 at Beverly Hills, and continue onto Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31 for 62.8km. Then take the Old Hume Hwy/B73 exit towards Mittagong/Bowral/Moss Vale.

**Getting home**
