Bush walk near Lorne & byo Christmas Picnic/BBQ Lunch at the Sheoak Picnic Area

It's almost Christmas and it's been a bit wet lately (in case you hadn't noticed!) so a great time to check out some waterfalls. How about we go for a pretty easy walk (approx. 3kms return with some small hills and steps involved) to Henderson Falls via Won Wondah Falls and back, then sit around for an early byo Christmas Picnic/BBQ lunch in the Sheoak Picnic Area. After lunch, if you feel up for another walk there's the Lower Kalimna Falls (~6km return) or the Sheoak Falls (~7kms return).

Expect muddy/slippery conditions and possible showers on the walk and hopefully we are early enough when we get back to claim a bbq or two and possibly the sheltered lunch area at the picnic spot. Bring everything you need for your own lunch and maybe something additional to share if you feel so inclined.

Car pooling is available from Harvey Norman Waurn Ponds departing at 9am sharp. Please let me know no later than 6pm FRIDAY if you would like a lift, and/or if you'd be happy to drive if necessary. Please also remember to offer your driver something to help cover their costs.
