What we’re about
The Triangle Monthly Gaming Meetup held its first meetup on October 19th, 2019. The purpose of TMGM is to provide a positive place where everyone can meet together for free, play games in person, have a meal together, and support each other in the bad times and in the good times.
TMGM is held monthly in the Triangle area of central North Carolina, typically on the fourth Saturday of each month. Our average crowd in 2022 was 15 people total.
We play video games (console, PC, even handhelds) and board games. Typically our most popular games are Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, some traditional fighting games, some racing games, and of course all the group board games. People bring their games, systems, controllers, and screens to play. Once it gets closer to dinner time, people contribute a few dollars if they prefer to do so towards a meal (usually pizzas!) that we then share together over some nice conversation and laughs.
