Are you in your 20s/30s and wondering how to make friends as an adult? Did you just move to Richmond, VA (RVA) and need new friends or things to do? Have you lived in RVA for a while but still would like to diversify your circle of friends? Are you single, engaged, married, or divorced and looking to meet other like-minded friends? Do you like food, beer, wine, cooking classes, games, outdoor activities, music, or anything fun and would rather go with friends?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, this group is for you! Trying to Adult RVA is a membership-based social group. It is open to anyone 21+, of any gender, that want to make friends.

It’s movie night and we are going to see the film “Wicked”.
Movie Summary : Misunderstood because of her green skin, a young woman named Elphaba forges an unlikely but profound friendship with Glinda, a student with an unflinching desire for popularity. Following an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their relationship soon reaches a crossroad as their lives begin to take very different paths.
TIME of the movie is at 7PM, tickets are posted online on fandango, you are responsible for purchasing your own movie ticket. Please get to the theater early to check in with us.
This event is free for all members. All attendees must have a confirmed ticket from the Trying to Adult RVA website. All attendees must also purchase a movie ticket separately. You can do so via Fandango.com or the movie theater's website!

We may go to a nearby restaurant after the film for socializing for any who are interested.

Parking: This place is located in Scotts Addition which is mostly street parking and can be limited. Please utilize ride share or allow extra time to find a spot.

We are so thankful for you all so a Thanksgiving dinner with Trying to Adult RVA sounds like the perfect celebration - better yet, a Friendsgiving!
The famous Tanglewood Ordinary Country Restaurant is the cutest southern comfort restaurant! Our meal will be unlimited and family style. What are family-style meals? Family-style meals are when the components of a meal are put on the table in bowls or plates so everyone can serve themselves. The bowls and/or plates are passed around and put back in the middle of the table where more can be eaten if desired.
The menu for our dinner will include their famous fried chicken, roast beef, country ham, bbq, mashed potatoes, green beans, mixed greens, buttered corn, gravy biscuits and cornbread with refills included. Also included: tea, coffee and lemonade and dessert. There will also be a cash bar for beer or wine if you would like some adult beverages as well.
