Since 1995, VanLUG (Vancouver Linux Users Group) has been a vibrant, inclusive community where Linux lovers of all levels come together. Holiday Meet and Greet: Inviting all VanLUG members to celebrate 2024 VanLUG Christmas! Join your new Linux friends for this simple get-together. No Technical Talks this evening.
It is a BYOD (buy-your-own-drinks) affair, and we are here to celebrate the end of 2024 and the success of more than 1,500 members for VanLUG! There may be surprise treats but no promises.
Optional: A Red SANTA HAT will identify that you are with us. (Buy this for less than $2.75 at a Dollar Store.)
If you are planning to Drink, try to get here by Public Transit, Uber/Lyft, or have a designated driver. Do not drink and drive. Be responsible.
Our Community Code of Conduct is in full effect, so be respectful, be inclusive, collaborate, and be a responsible adult. (Note: Some attendees can only take non-alcoholic drinks so don't judge.)

2:00 to 2:10: Introductions and welcome from VanLUG and VPL.
Then, split into two to three groups based on interest level.2:10 - 4:00: Linux for Everyone!
Room 1 : Beginners: Introduction to Linux for interested beginners.Room 2: Intermediate: Detailed talk about some specific topics for more advanced users.
Room 3: Support: Have a problem, want an install? Get together with those
who can assist, with a peer-to-peer support session.
