Nonprofit educational group Earthsave Baltimore hosts monthly vegan potlucks at Govans Presbyterian Church, 5828 York Road in Baltimore, near Towson. Church is next to the historic Senator Theater. The potlucks are held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 6:00 until 8:30. Mealtime starts promptly at 6:15.
Earthsave’s annual Thanks-Living Vegan Open-Mic potluck will happen on Nov. 23rd at 6 pm. The theme for his special evening will be kind thoughts, peace, and gratitude. Attendees will be invited to share something for which they are grateful or share a favorite quote, either from the front of the room or from their table.
Let us know in advance if you’d like to speak or perform. You could do a little talk or share a story, sing or play, do standup comedy, etc. We’d love to hear from you. You don’t have to be vegan to participate. Contact [email protected], 410-252-3043, to reserve a spot onstage for up to ten minutes. This will be fun. Join us if you can! MONTHLY VEGAN POTLUCKS: The attendance fee is $5. You may RSVP by email at [email protected], or by voicemail at 410-252-3043. Please also go the event page of the Earthsave Baltimore Facebook group to invite friends and let them know you plan to attend.
Guests are asked to bring a dish made without animal products that will serve 8 or more. If you’d like to bring food just for yourself or attend without eating, the fee is $5. If you wish to enjoy the potluck without bringing a dish, the fee is $20.
There’s plenty of free parking. Drive around church to large parking lot, where you'll see the white Earthsave banner near the Fellowship Hall entry. You can get monthly event reminders by email by joining the Baltimore Vegan Meetup or Baltimore Vegetarian Meetup . Another good resource for social connection, events info, questions and discussion is the Earthsave Baltimore Facebook group. Baltimore Vegans is another helpful resource on Facebook.

Earthsave Baltimore hosts these monthly Veg/Vegan restaurant gatherings and invites all who are interested in moving toward a healthier, earth-friendly diet and lifestyle.
We meet at varied locations. The Taj Palace, 9419 Common Brook Rd, Owings Mills, MD, 21117, is our current favorite, and we meet there every other month. The buffet at Taj Palace is $19, and features a good number of vegan and veg options. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful with questions.
Discussion topics: You’re invited to tell us about yourself and what got you interested in coming. And always feel free to share a brief story or observation, or an inspiration, favorite quote, or announcement. Success stories are a special treat!

Event themes will vary. Some potlucks will feature a speaker, some will have live music or other talent, and others will be about getting to know each other. We also host monthly restaurant gatherings.
