Welcome to Virtual Social Events for Professionals! First off, we are a SOCIAL group - not a game group. There may be games we play that people like, but you should want to socialize and make friends rather than want to play the games. A few reminders - please be sure to have a current photo listed in your profile and at least a full first name (please no initials). If you do not, you risk being removed from the group. All meetings will take place via zoom. If you have trouble using our zoom link, we will not be able to help you. The best advice is to re-boot your computer. Please be kind to others and make sure that everyone is included. Thank you! Please be sure to look at the about section to see all detailed information on this group.
*Please note that there are members from all over the world in this group. Please expect to meet and interact with people from all 50 states and more.
We ask that you follow these guidelines or risk being removed from the group:
Please do not:
1. Ask people their ages.
2. Ask for people's contact information - it should be mutual.
3. "Troll" the group by emailing everyone.
4. Discuss politics, religion, or try and promote any sort of group in any way.
5. Promote other groups during my events without asking me (Stacey) first.
6. Be sure to watch game video directions in advance of events so you know how to play.
7. Do not insult others' techniques for playing games. Their view may be different than yours which is fine.
8. Please make sure you are patient and do not cut others off while they are speaking.
9. This group is for professionals and we ask that you are at least over the age of 30 to be part of this group.

What we're about
Welcome to this virtual social event group and we welcome members from all over the globe, though we are based in the United States. We aim to bring professional singles together in a social forum who want to socialize and make friends. Please have a photo of your face posted to ensure acceptance.
VIDEO REQUIREMENT:
You must be on video if you are new to the group to verify who you are. Once the organizer knows, you can be on and off video. But it is more fun when you can see people!
MEMBERSHIP:
We ask that those who join be professionals in the age range of 35+. Everyone should have a positive attitude and willing to be kind to others. At the events we will do speed dating, comedy shows, trivia games, and more!

ATTENDANCE:
It is expected that members of the group will attend at least 1 event per month. Events are relaxed, fun, and generally casual with open forum chances to speak with the group and chances to speak in smaller groups. (Note - you may be removed if you are not attending events or if you RSVP too often and do not attend).
EVENT TYPES:
Events consist of friend making events, trivia events, virtual parties, career discussions, speaker series events, and general networking events at this time.
SPEAKING AT EVENTS:
Since we are online in a virtual setting, it can be challenging to understand folks when multiple people are speaking at the same time. We ask that attendees ensure that they are not monopolizing speaking and giving everyone a chance to speak. Thank you.
ADVERTISING:
We ask that you do not advertise for other groups during our events. Should you have another group and it comes up during an event, it is at the discretion of the host if additional information can be shared.
SHARING CONTACT INFORMATION:
Share contact information at your own discretion, but please do not post on the discussion board asking for others contact information. We ask that you communicate with people during events and ask if you want to share contact information prior to reaching out to group members and asking for contact info.
