WMA Dinner / Drinks then Xmas Lights Walk (9km)

Do you want to wake up your inner child? We are doing the annual City Christmas lights walk again as this proved very successful over the past 3 years.
The dinner is at the Camfield. The tables will be booked under Eugenes name from 5:30pm on the western side of the main pub.

Those not attending the dinner should meet us at the MeetUp location pin drop.

The 9 km walk which starts at the east end of the Matagarup Bridge leaves promptly at 7:15 pm. It will take us into the city following the Christmas Lights trail starting at St George’s Cathedral to Betty's Jetty, Yagan Square, Northbridge, Forrest Place and back to the Camfield.

If you are on the waitlist and don't make the attend list please feel free to join us for the walk at 7:15 pm anyway.

Where: The dinner is in the Camfield. (5:45-7:15pm) The tables are booked from 5:30pm, order your dinner by 6:15pm. (Don't eat too much before we leave, perhaps share a meal with a friend.)
The walk starts at the east end of Matagarup Bridge at 7:15pm (Click on the pin drop of the map for our meeting point)
Parking: There is plenty of free parking near the Camfield
Distance: 9km. About 2 hours of walking time but expect us to stop often.
Difficulty: Flat, paved paths with little elevation gain. Expect a good walking pace of around 5.5 to 6km/h but plenty of time to observe the lights.

Toilets: For those who started off with a few drinks before we left, we will have toilet stops at Betty’s Jetty and near the Perth Cultural Centre (and a few more marked on the map)

RSVP - no shows & late arrivals: If you are on the "Going" list and can't make it on the day please RSVP "Not Going" at the earliest convenience as a courtesy so to allow others to join who might be on the "Waitlist".
We aim to set-off for each walk at the advertised time and as a general rule, we set off on-time for each walk.

By confirming your attendance attendees agree to "WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY" the organisers, co-organisers, event organisers, volunteers and members of the Walking Mates Australia Meetup Group from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from Injuries and Damages, even if caused by negligence, in any way connected with Walking Mates Australia.
Attendees further agree to HOLD HARMLESS the organisers, co-organisers, event organisers, volunteers and members of Walking Mates Australia Meetup Group from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by their own negligence while a participant on the Event.
