Summer Solstice Sunday Sunset Stroll @ Alfred's Kitchen Guildford SSS (8km)

For this Summer Sunday Sunset Series let's do the summer solstice stroll (SSSSSSS phew!!😀). This is the longest day of the year and from here on the days will now get shorter.
To celebrate the longest day let's do a walk through historic Guildford, along the Swan River and up & around Lilac Hill Park. We will finish at the iconic Alfred's Kitchen @ sunset (7:22pm) for one of their famous burgers.
Where: Meet-up in the carpark @ Alfred's Kitchen. Click on the map to find the exact location of the pin drop where we will gather.
Parking: Parking at the MeetUp point or across the road.
Difficulty: This is not a challenging 8km walk but the distance means you should be a regular walker and can walk at a reasonable pace. The paths are bitumen paved walks & cycleways and also some hard packed gravel tracks along the river and around Lilac Hill Park. There are no mountains to climb.
What to bring: Hat and reasonable shoes. A jumper left in your car for afterwards might be a good thing.
Dinner after the walk: Join us for the classic burger from Alfred's Kitchen for dinner and a chat.

We aim to set-off for each walk at the advertised time and as a general rule, we set off on-time for each walk.
