SSSS - Point Walter Swan River walk. (7km)

As part of the Summer Sunday Sunset Series (SSSS) we are going to walk along the river from Point Walter towards Fremantle and then return to have a picnic in the park at sunset (7:13pm).
Starting off at 5:45 we might walk along the sand bar just because it’s there, then head along the river around Point Walter looking down to Jenalup Beach as we move towards the Bicton Baths and then into the East Fremantle Yacht Club. We do an about turn before we hit Riverside Dr.
What to bring:
Great news the Dinner at Dusk food trucks are at Point Walter - No preparation!! An amazing food truck selection with wonderful live music to create an ambience you will love. Otherwise BYO picnic, cold drinks, a thermos of hot coffee, a chair/picnic rug, mosquito repellent and a jumper. There are a couple of BBQs nearby.
Where to find us: MeetUp point near the sculpture on the hill, we will be leaving promptly at 5:45pm. Click on the Map’s pin drop for the exact starting point.
Parking: There are two decent car parking areas a very short walk from the starting point.
Distance: Approx. 7+km
Difficulty: Mainly bitumen and dirt paths. Expect an easy walk but at a reasonable pace (5 to 6 km/h). We should complete the walk in under an hour and 30 minutes.
Toilets: At the carpark east of the meeting point and the 3.4 & 5.3km point.

RSVP - no shows & late arrivals: If you are on the "Going" list and can't make it on the day please RSVP "Not Going" at the earliest convenience as a courtesy so to allow others to join who might be on the "Waitlist".
We aim to set-off for each walk at the advertised time and as a general rule, we set off on-time for each walk.
