What we’re about

Do you love singing and travel? This Meetup is for women who would like to participate in our weekly choir rehearsals and local concerts, as well as travel and sing with us on our upcoming national and international (2026) tours.  It is also for people interested in attending our concerts.

Women of Song is a nonprofit adult women’s choir providing an opportunity for lifelong choral singing of a wide variety and caliber of music since 1986.  The choir includes women of all ages - from their 20s to 80s - from across the Twin Cities.   We seek to provide free-will offering concerts whenever possible.

Our members come from many communities around the Twin Cities. We rehearse on Monday evenings in Minnetonka and perform music from a variety of genres, including classical, contemporary, Broadway, spirituals and sacred. We welcome women who love to sing and have good control over their voices. Ability to read music is preferred. Women interested in joining are required to schedule a voice check with our music director. Please see our Events page for more information regarding voice checks or email our music director, Patty Connors at [email protected].

Women of Song's concerts are in December and May. Most of our members commit to the full season which, including rehearsals, starts in September and ends in May. However, you have the option to rehearse and sing for either our December or May concerts if you can’t commit to the full season.

Additional performances have included concerts at the Minneapolis Veterans Home, Fort Snelling Chapel, Holidazzle, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Special Olympics, sporting arenas and senior centers. As ambassadors of music and Minnesota, Women of Song has traveled to choral festivals and competitions in the United States, Austria, and Czech Republic, as well as the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales. Our most recent travels took us to Prague and Vienna in 2022, including a friendship concert with the award-winning Prague Mixed Choir.
