What we’re about
Welcome to our Women's A Cappella Singing Meetup group!
Let us share some of the many benefits of learning to sing in an a cappella chorus:
Explore your vocal range and find your unique sound: Singing is another skill that improves with practice. We'll share techniques to find and develop your sound, and you'll learn to blend with others around you. Remember, a chorus is a group setting. We get it; nerves are a real thing that we manage, too. But there is strength and support in numbers. You'll be surprised how quickly you'll find your singing voice and contribute to the harmonies!
Boost your confidence and self-expression: Performing is a great way to work through those nervous butterflies that we all get from time to time. But think about it: If you can get comfortable singing in front of an audience, what else can you accomplish? Don't underestimate the power of finding your inner diva and boosting your confidence!
Put a smile on your face: We practice expressing ourselves as we sing, and guess what? We are lowering stress in the process. Plus, singing is learning. You'll feel the energy boost that comes from our regular practices and goose-bump-producing harmonies. We believe singing is good for our soul and well-being!
Looking for more of a challenge? We got you! It's not uncommon for members to form quartets to add an extra level of creativity and musical skill development. Some practice just for fun, and others like to perform. Quartets allow for an even deeper understanding of music theory, harmony, and rhythm.
Misty River Music Makers welcomes all levels of singing experience, and you don't have to read music to participate. Just come with a love of singing and a learning mindset - we have tools to support you on this journey!
Let's make some magical music together!
