Are you a bookworm? Do you love reading English fiction? Are you looking for a local book club where members read and chat about a new English book once a month in a social setting? Then look no further. You’ve come to the right place!
The English Book Club is not only about enjoying irresistible books (and maybe a delicious hot chocolate), but making new friends from Tienen and the surrounding area!
We meet on the first Friday of the month to chat about a novel we have read (classic or modern fiction, across all genres). We stay as long as we still have things to say (usually around 2 hours) and pick the next month’s book with a vote.
It’s friendly and relaxed – we don’t take ourselves too seriously – so don’t worry if you haven’t read the book yet, or watched the Netflix movie … enjoy the chat, participate if you wish, and have fun! There are no strict attendance or reading rules – go to meetings as and when you feel like it (a €1 attendance fee goes towards paying for the MeetUp subscription).
