What we’re about
Have you wondered how your connection to the Earth relates to your spirituality? If so, we have a group for you!
Our "Environment and Spirituality" group gathers every Wednesday each month for a deeper look into the relationship between the natural world and our own spirituality. We use meditation, music, art, poetry, and other writings to deepen our conversations. Each month, we rotate through several formats. All are welcome!
WEEK 1: Meditations for the Earth (and ALL its Creatures), led by Megan
WEEK 2: Nature, Art, and Spirit, led by Lanny
WEEK 3: More Meditations for the Earth (and ALL its Creatures), led by Natasha
WEEK 4: Writing, Spirituality, and the Natural World, led by Lisanne

OUR STORY: In the summer of 2018, we began a group that focused on the four elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. We had such a strong and heartfelt response that we continued by exploring the directions of The Medicine Wheel (used in both North and South America). Since then, we've expanded our explorations to spiritual traditions from around the world, including Celtic Christianity, Zen Buddhism, and Indigenous ways of knowing.
We began as an in-person meet-up as a part of Mendota Heights UCC. Since March 2020, we've been meeting virtually over Zoom. After the closure of Mendota Heights UCC at the end of 2022, we have continued on as an independent group.
It has been quite a journey already but we have received so much support and so many positive comments that we are excited to continue our own exploration of the "Environment and Spirituality." Thanks for your interest and support. We believe that no matter who you are or where you come from in life, you will receive a warm welcome!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
