See all- Rise and Grind Sunrise Hike - Reservoir Ridge Natural Area WEST sideReservoir Ridge Natural Area, Fort Collins, CO
Get out early before work/school/whatever for some fresh air and exercise!
Note: Starting at a different trailhead for a few months due to the late-opening gate at the Michaud Ln. trailhead.
We'll hike from the CR23/Centennial Dr. trailhead to the Pleasant Valley overlook, then turn around and head back. It's about a 2.5 mile out-and-back hike (with 350 feet of vertical) and takes almost exactly an hour at a brisk pace.
This is a dog friendly hike. If you have a reasonably well-behaved pup that likes to hike, feel free to bring him/her. I'll have my 5 y.o. German Shepherd with me. He can be a little bark-y when meeting new people or dogs, but he'll calm down once we get moving.
We head up the trail promptly at 0630 AM. Don't be late!
