Join RAG for our monthly public meeting to discuss Anarchist-Communist perspectives on the big issues of the day.

Come find out what Anarchism and anti-capitalism are all about, and get a fresh perspective on current events, politics, work, money and power.

These events are specially designed to provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere for those new to politics, Anarchism and activism. Feel free to bring a friend!

It's important to us that our meetings are accessible, especially to those most exploited by capitalism. If travel costs would prevent you attending and you live in the Birmingham area, feel free to message us privately and we'll see if we can sort something out together.

ABOUT US:

The Revolutionary Anarchist Group (RAG) is an open group of activists seeking to progress the case for international Anarchist-Communist revolution - that is, a society run by the people, for the people, without rulers or politicians, where wealth is distributed according to need, rather than birth or status.

At RAG, everyone who gets involved has a say. That's the Anarchist way... no rulers! Whether you are already an AnCom, or just want to learn more about Anarchist Communism, all are welcome!

Anarchists Discuss: Revolutionary Violence

The group began eleven months ago in response to the frustrations and anger raised by the Trump presidency and administration and the Republican/Conservative Congress. The group is organized with volunteers who coordinate sign making for demonstrations, a press person who handles news releases, a photographer, writers who have developed a library of letters on various subjects that can be accessed by anyone wanting to write a letter to an editor of a newspaper or an elected official but is inexperienced in letter writing for public consumption, a person who coordinates post card campaigns, an environmental committee, a coordinating committee that organizes the group’s participation in demonstrations and marches, a person who coordinates phone call campaigns on behalf of Democratic candidates in Florida and other states and a person who handles the Facebook page for the group which can be accessed by entering "Democrats for Action" in the search box.

The group is made up of 250 people, many with no previous political experience, who reside in Cascade Lakes and other communities throughout the county. We encourage people who live outside of Cascade Lakes to join the group and consider starting similar grass roots activist groups within their own communities.

In the first days of July 2017, the U. S. Supreme Court threw out North Carolina’s congressional district maps because the State legislature because they used racial profiling to pack districts in one party’s favor. Now the Court must address the issue of gerrymandering based on partisanship. Having ruled against racial gerrymandering so recently, they might rule against rigged elections altogether.

We must also campaign for legislation against gerrymandering. Reagan and Obama both came out against rigged elections. Register your support at http://AwareCitizens.org/gerrymandering.html NOTE: Do not RSVP this activity as it will not count as an endorsement
