From the Warrington Zombie Manor House to the Murder Mystery Cruise to Bruges, It has been an absolute pleasure running the group for the last thirteen years.

From the small group of just over 50 members when I took charge to the staggering 9000+ members now after a lot of hard work in a few years. Many people have approached me to use Escape as a platform to launch their own events or Meetup groups too which is always pleasing to help others succeed. (Even if they have forgotten this and started bad mouthing Escape now)
It costs money to run the group and I have always said I would never let any of my members incur this cost, only accepting donations which I hope everyone appreciated especially running this in my spare time from a full time job.

The feedback I received when I took a short break in regards to my hosting style and the fairness I give to people was an honour to hear.
I guess In the group's prime, that was why people asked me for help with issues within other groups or running their groups as I always tried to be fair saying everyone is accountable for their actions including myself if they do wrong.

For people that don't know me, I am rather shy but as the person in charge of the group, I knew I had to step outside my comfort zone which has made me a more confident person.

My only regret right now is that it has been very quiet from me over the final few years as I have had a busy work and personal life.
I've changed jobs a couple of times, I've lost family and friends during covid which was a hard period but I've also met someone who I'm happy to say that I will be getting married to hence me stepping down from the running of the group.
It's only fair for someone who has the heart and energy as I did when I originally took charge of the group to take over now.

The group will have lasting positive memories for me. The staggering 183 people who turned up to the new members night at Toast back in 2015 will forever be an unforgettable night and my proudest moment for Escape.
I've made some great and long lasting friendships on here and hope I'll make a few more before I leave.
