* Wear: walking shoes or boots suitable for muddy conditions, waterproof coat if rain is forecase, hat, gloves, buff, layers

**Description**
The walk is almost 10 miles and should last 3 1/2 to 4 hours. We aim to return to Pangbourne by 2.30 PM.
This walk starts along the Thames Path turning to Sulham Woods and fields beyond. There will be a short stop about half way before passing through Tidmarsh and up to Pangbourne College. The walk ends descending through a pretty copse before returning to our start point. The terrain covered is a mixture of footpaths and bridleways through woodland and fields with some stretches on the road in between. There are two brief climbs up to Sulham woods and later towards Upper Basildon.

**After in Pangbourne**
There are a number pubs and cafes in Pangbourne for anyone who wants a meal or a hot drink before or after the walk. Costa is open from 8am apparently.

**Cost**
£5 payable at the start of the walk.

**What to bring**
Please bring some snacks and plenty of water to keep you going for the walk. We will stop half way for a snack/light packed lunch which we may have to eat standing up. Bring a seat pad or plastic bag if you think you'll want to sit on the grass. The walk may be muddy in places so please wear suitable footwear for walking on footpaths and bridleways. By the Thames in Pangbourne and up in Sulham, it can be especially muddy especially if there has been rain.

**Parking** \- Free parking on Sundays in the car park outside Pangbourne Village Hall/opposite the Bentley garage just a short walk from Pangbourne Station\. The Station has a car park too charging £4\.20 / day at weekends\.
